Lavabo is French for a wash basin, and a lot of our sanitary ware goes to French-speaking Africa. Same product as our English pages — pedestal, wall-hung, countertop and one-piece basins — with paperwork in French.
"Lavabo" and "wash basin" are the same fitting; which word a buyer uses tells you which market they're in. A good share of our sanitary ware ships to Francophone West and Central Africa, so we run the basin range under both names and keep a French-speaking desk on it.
The formats
Full pedestal and half pedestal, wall-hung, countertop bowls, and the one-piece column basin. All vitreous china, fully glazed, with a built-in overflow and a single centre tap hole as standard — one-hole and three-hole to order.
Basins are batch-matched to pedestals and to WCs, so a bathroom set leaves here in one shade.
Build
Slip-cast, dried slow, fired hot. Each piece is checked for glaze pinholes, a clear overflow and correct dimensions, then packed with its bracket and bolts. Batch numbers on file for reorders.
Export to Francophone markets
We ship regularly to Senegal, Côte d'Ivoire, Guinea, Burkina Faso, Togo, Benin, Cameroon, Congo and Madagascar. Invoice, packing list and certificate of origin in French; correspondence in French; brand printed on the cartons if you distribute under your own name. Basins load with tiles or a WC order to fill the container.
