A one-piece basin is a single casting — the bowl and the column that carries it, moulded together. You get an unbroken line from rim to floor and no seam at the top of the pedestal, which is the first place a standard basin set looks untidy.
The catch, and the point
The catch is that it's one pour. It comes out of the mould right or it's scrap — there's no re-fitting a bad join. That pushes the price up over a two-piece set and it's why we sort these hard before they ship.
The point is the finish. Concealed plumbing, no seam, a clean column — it's a small upgrade that reads as a bigger one, so it suits mid-range housing and hospitality where the bathroom is a selling point.
Build and checks
Slip-cast in a single mould, dried slowly, fired hot for density and a stable shape. Each basin is checked for glaze pinholes, that the overflow runs clear, and that the dimensions hold. Fixing hardware goes in the carton. Batch numbers are kept so a reorder matches.
Packing — this one matters
The column is long and thin and it's the weak point in a container. We pack each basin in a five-ply carton with moulded pulp shaped around the bowl and a separate collar on the column, then palletise so nothing takes side load. Breakage on these is low but only because the packing is built for it.
Export
Invoice, packing list, certificate of origin and pre-shipment inspection handled by our export desk. Cartons can carry your brand. Basins load well with tiles or with a WC order to fill a container.

Frequently asked questions
How is this different from a normal basin and full pedestal?
A normal set is two pieces that meet at the top of the column. A one-piece basin is cast as a single body, so there's no seam to line up on site and nothing to clean between bowl and column.
Does the pedestal hold it up on its own?
The column takes the load, but we still supply a wall bracket and fixings and recommend using them. A basin gets leant on.
Which tap holes?
One centre hole is standard. One-hole (for a single mixer) and three-hole (for a bridge set) are made to order.
