The selling point of a one-piece closet is the joint that isn't there. On a two-piece unit the gap where the cistern bolts to the pan collects grime and, eventually, leaks. Fire the whole thing as one body and that problem is gone — along with a couple of centimetres of height, which is why designers like it.
What you're buying
A single vitreous-china body with a concealed trap, a siphonic dual-flush, and a soft-close seat in the box. The shape is low and squared-off in the current models; older rounded profiles are still available if that's what your market buys.
It's a project and showroom product. Housing schemes that want to lift the spec above builder-standard, sanitary showrooms, hotels — that's where the volume goes.
Making it
One casting, poured in a single mould, then dried under controlled humidity because a body this size will crack if you rush it. Firing is hot and long to close the porosity. The kiln reject rate on one-piece is higher than anything else we make, so what ships has already been through a tight sort — glaze checked, trap seal checked, flushed at full and reduced volume on the line.
Batch records are kept. A repeat order six months later matches on colour and rough-in.
Supply and packing
We hold kiln capacity for the running one-piece models so bulk orders don't queue. Each unit goes in a double-wall carton with moulded-pulp end caps — the shape is awkward and top-heavy, so the packing is heavier than a two-piece. Palletised and wrapped for the container. Invoice, packing list, certificate of origin and inspection all handled; buyer's brand on the carton on request.

Frequently asked questions
Why does a one-piece closet cost more than a two-piece?
It's a single large casting. It's harder to pour evenly, it takes longer to dry without cracking, and more pieces fail at the kiln — so the good ones carry that cost. What you get back is no pan-to-tank joint and a lower, cleaner shape.
Does the seat come with it?
Yes, a UF soft-close seat as standard, fitted or packed loose. If you want the plain PP seat instead to hit a price, we can do that.
What flush volume?
Dual 3/6 litre is standard; 4/6 is available where the drainage run needs the extra pull. The flush is siphonic, so it's quiet and clears in one go.
How many fit in a container?
Around 500 to 560 sets in a 20ft, depending on the model and the carton. We give you the exact figure with the quote so you can work your landed cost.
